Begley Building

The Robert B. Begley Building was built in 1970 and is named to honor a former member of the EKU Board of Regents and life-long EKU supporter. The seven-story Begley Building is designed to serve nearly 2,000 students hourly in classes and also provides seating for more than 20,000 football spectators. Included in the structure are three gymnasiums, 12 hand-ball courts, 36 classrooms, 60 offices and the dressing facilities for physical education and football. A training area includes exercise and weight-lifting rooms, a steam room and a large therapy tank. A seminar room and reception area are located on the second level of the building. The Athletic Office is located in the Begley Building along with the Department of Health Education the Department of Recreation and Park Administration and the Department of Military Science.   On the 6th floor of the Begley Building is the Public Safety and Security Institute for Technology (PSI TEC) which is part of the Justice and Safety Center, College of Justice and Safety.
