Bert Combs Building

The Combs Building is named in honor of Bert T. Combs, one of the greatest governors in the history of the Commonwealth. Lecture halls, each built like a small auditorium, are tributes to two of Eastern's veteran teachers. The D. T. Ferrell Room is named to honor Dr. Ferrell, who is a former head of the Department of Education and the P. M. Grise Room honors Dr. Grise, who is a former head of the Department of English. Every hour during regular semester over 2,000 students are in class here. The building was built in 1964 and houses the College of Buisness and Technology and the:

Department of Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems,
Department of Management, Marketing, and Administrative Communications.

The College of Education is also located in the Combs Building, along with the:

Department of Counseling and Educational Leadership,
Department of Curriculum and Instruction.

Every student on this campus will become familiar with the Combs building since the registration center is located on the second floor.
