Ralph Whalin Technology Complex
Fitzpatrick Building (left) and Gibson and Ault Buildings Named in honor of Ralph W. Whalin who servied Eastern from 1937 to 1974 as Professor and Chair or the Department of Industrial Arts. He was the first Faculty Regent. The Fitzpatrick Building , built in 1939, is named for H.D. Fitzpatrick Sr. a long-time member of the Board of Regents, houses the Department of Technology and the Eastern Kentucky Technology Center. Connected with the Fitzpatrick Building are the Gibson Building, named for Maude Gibson a member of the Department of Art faculty for 33 years, and the Ault Building, named for William A. Ault who was Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for 35 years. These two buildings were built in 1962. |
