The Roy Kidd Stadium, home of Colonel football since 1969, is named for Coach Roy Kidd who guided the Colonels to Division 1-AA national championships in 1979 and 1982. Coach Kidd has coached at EKU for 32 years, compiling a 266-94-8 record (going into the '96 season), placing him third among Division I active coaches. The Roy Kidd Stadium, which seats over 20,000 people, is part of the Hanger Field and Robert B. Begley Building complex, a very unique academic-athletic center.
