Miller Hall

Former residence hall built in 1938 as a WPA project, Miller Hall houses the offices of the Insurance program and other faculty offices. Along with Beckham and McCreary Halls, the three form a U-shaped complex. Each hall was named in honor of a political leader who had promoted the establishment of Eastern Kentucky State Normal School at Richmond. Richard White Miller, State Representative from Madison County (1904-1906), and Lecturer at Central University, distinguished himself in education, government and journalism. Miller Hall contains an elaborate bell tower above an arched passageway.
