Powell Building

Built in 1971 and located in the center of campus, the building in named for former University President J. C. Powell . The Powell building serves as a student union, and recreation facility. There is a cafeteria located upstairs and a grill in the basement. Also located in the basement are bowling lanes and a pool room. A lower plaza, extending east to the Wallace Building contains the Chapel of Meditation, a pool and fountain, trees and outdoor lighting.
