Rowlett Building

The John D. Rowlett Building is named for Eastern's former Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research. Dr. Rowlett was instrumental in the establishment and growth of nurse-education and allied health programs at Eastern. The building is a three-story, 53,000-square-foot facility housing the Department of Associate Degree Nursing, the Department of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing, and the Health Professions Learning Resource Center.

The student health services section of the building on the first floor is named for Dr. Tim Lee Carter, Congressman from this district. As a physician, Congressman Carter has long been interested in health education and services.
