Stratton Building

The Stratton Building is part of the Robert R. Martin Law Enforcement, Fire Science and Traffic Safety Center, named to honor EKU's sixth president, under whose guidance the College of Law Enforcement was established and rose to national prominence. The building was named for Henry D. Stratton, a Pikeville attorney who was also chairman of the EKU Board of Regents and member of the Kentucky Crime Commission. The Stratton Building, was built in 1975 and contains four levels, 133,000-square-foot and features an indoor pool. It houses the College of Justice and Safety and the departments of Correctional and Juvenile Justice Studies, Loss Prevention and Safety and Criminal Justice and Police Studies. The Stratton Building also houses the Training Resource Center, the Center for School Safety and the Justice and Safety Center.
